We are excited to once again announce that Deck the Falls will be happening this year! During the last several months we have been making major improvements to bring our community an exciting new program on the falls downtown. We have contacted and screened a large number of animators from across the country, selecting four talented and well-qualified individuals to provide an exciting new video and audio experience. Mayor Casper has contacted us and encouraged the presentation of Deck the Falls again, as this will be the only expected winter event in the City. Last year over 10,000 spectators attended and we expect to far exceed that number this year. Not only have we been working on creating a great 10+ minute video presentation, but we have also remodeled the Westbank Convention Center (525 River Parkway). We just celebrated with a ribbon-cutting a few weeks ago. The restaurant and kitchen are now occupied by Diablas Kitchen, which serves fantastic, made-from-scratch food, both in the restaurant and as part of the catering service for the Westbank.
Deck the Falls is a free-to-the-public event
with shows every 30 minutes beginning at 6:00 p.m. and running through 8:30 p.m. each night. The Westbank, located across the street from the show, will be turned into a holiday village with Santa, cookies and milk, local talent, children’s activities (e.g. scavenger hunt, letters to Santa, etc.) will all be provided at no cost to the public. Food and beverage items including hot chocolate will also be available at a reasonable cost to those who wish to purchase. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are available which are first being offered to last year’s sponsors, and then to any other entity on a first come first serve basis.
