OUR STORY

AND X was started by Andy Johnson in 2014 when he realized he wanted to offer people a better experience with their entertainment. In 2017, Andy’s brother Alan joined the team when demand for ANDX services exceeded what one person could manage. With Andy’s marketing skills and Alan’s technical knowledge, they were able to grow the company from a small operation to a 12 person crew with over 1000 shows that spanned every corner of the United States. ANDX has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry and companies from around the world. Their latest expansion into virtual conferences is proving to be a major success in creating moments to be remembered.

OUR VISION

AND is a word intended to join or bring together. X is the experience factor that is determined by the variables around it.

Our philosophy at AND X is to identify the variables and solve for success in order to RAISE THE EXPERIENCE for both you and your audience. We do this by being ambitious and innovative in the way we plan and use technology to execute complex processes and make them feel simple and seamless. AND X believes that anything less than the best is unacceptable.

WHO IS AND X?

ANDY

General Manager

Starting out in 2007 as a DJ, Andy enjoyed being able to help people he met to enjoy their night and how music, lighting have an impact on people. He found a true passion and ambition for helping people create amazing outcomes as he became an Event Manager in 2013. In 2014 he wanted to provide high-level audiovisual experiences and created AND X. Since then it has been many full years to adapt and help cultivate events both in-person and virtual that have a high level of execution.

ALAN

Operations Director

Joining the team in 2017 Alan brought a wealth of knowledge of what is possible in AV. Alan’s ability to push the capabilities of technology and to a very high level has enabled AND X to constantly raise the bar of capabilities and experiences available to our clients. The creation of Deck the Falls in 2019 as well as finding and adapting virtual solutions and platforms to fit client needs and leave attendees with lasting impressions. The amount of custom creation that AND X does is a reflection of the innovation that Alan brings every day.

DJ

Sales Director

Having had over 13 years in the hospitality business DJ knows how to treat people well and make sure they are getting everything that they need. His clients know of his attention to detail and being service-minded to put their needs and priorities into the plan. There are many dynamic factors in every project we do and adapting and communicating come naturally. DJ carries a 🙂 everywhere and orchestrates a well-organized event flow.  We have thoroughly enjoyed having him with us since 2019. (He has never been a disc-jockey nor do we plan on letting him spend his time to do so)

HAYLEY

Show Producer

Having fallen in love with theatre at a young age Hayley went from being in the spotlight to finding her passion, Creating Stage Magic. Hayley loves the technical role as she managed Audio, Lighting, Video, Set Design, etc for numerous performances at the Playmill Theatre and various locations. Hayley has been on our team since 2018 and takes her attention to detail and organization with her for every project she is put on and makes sure the polishing touches make a seamless experience.

CRIS

Tech Manager

Cris has a vast understanding and background in IT more specifically Computer Science. He has helped us streamline and integrate technology for ourselves and clients to maximize efficiency and our planning process. Our inventory and process are in his good hands and developing secure streams and client solutions. in 2018 Cris joined the AND X team as a technician and has been promoted many times. Cris is also a fantastic dancer and has DJ-ed for over 5 years and always knows how to bring a smile to those around him.

ADRIENNE

Event Director

Being organized with the attention to detail is how Adrienne rolls. She brings energy and optimism to create meaningful events and has done so from trade shows and expos to multi-day conferences and concerts. Logistics, swag, keynotes, and timeline get nailed down as she gets the priorities set to create experiences that impact people for years to come. It’s great to have Adrienne on our team as she knows how to bring out the best in people.
